Work.Life – Panasonic LUMIX Award 2010

Working as a freelancer for Scholz & Volkmer, Julia was thrilled to design the website for the 5th international Panasonic LUMIX Award 2010.

Scholz & Volkmer
Creative Direction: Nicoletta Merk-Gerlach | Art Direction: Julia Schiller
Concept: Rainer Eidemüller, Michael Ziegler | Project Management: Nicole Bücking / Programming: David Seibert

The website was awarded with a red dot design award for high quality in design 2011 (Category: Online Communication) and a DDC Award “Gute Gestaltung 11”.

Every year the Panasonic LUMIX Award presents digital images by amateurs and semi-professional photographers. To visualise the theme of the 2010 competition “Work.Life” with contributions about work around the world, the design puts emphasis on the central element of “time”. The homepage and the gallery automatically adapt to the current time in a subtle manner, the submissions are presented according to the time they were made and thereby reflect the different facets of a 24-hour workday in a mosaic. Warm earthly tones were used to symbolise the themes of work and trade.
